BMW Apple CarPlay Re-Activation is for those who had Apple Carplay from us, using our USB solution however BMW have updated your iDrive and Carplay is now de-activated. This re-activation allows you to re-activate Apple Carplay using our ENET/OBD cable and Windows laptop method.

You will be able to use the code in future to enable/disable Carplay regardless of which firmware version you’re on. Fullscreen Carplay is now supported on your BMW as well due to the iDrive firmware update that BMW have carried out.

BMW Apple CarPlay Re-Activation is for Lifetime in your BMW with NBTEvo Pro Nav (iDrive 5 / 6 only). Enjoy a safer driving experience with CarPlay, which is capable of showing useful apps like Waze, Google Maps, Spotify, Apple Music and much more. Siri is also integrated within Carplay, to provide a more enhanced hands free experience.

If your BMW has a touch screen, you can use it to operate Carplay. Your iDrive controller is normally used to navigate your way around CarPlay.

What Is Apple CarPlay/Android Auto?

A safer way to use your mobile phone while travelling in your car. Apple CarPlay & Android Auto allow you to seamlessly integrate your mobile phone with your car’s head unit. You are able to use apps such as Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, Apple Music and many more supported apps. It even allows you to integrate calls, text and music. Carplay can be connected Wirelessly via WiFi/Bluetooth on BMW NBTevo systems.

Full-Screen CarPlay

Apple CarPlay looks even better when it takes up the entire screen. Being able to take advantage of your wide screen is amazing, as it looks great and usability is a lot better. This can only be activated if your iDrive firmware starts with N, O, P, Q, R, S, U, V, W, X or Y. CarPlay will take up the entire screen on your BMW. This disables the split-screen functionality only when using CarPlay.

Approximately 90% of cars have a WiFi antenna, but some models may require an additional WiFi antenna to ensure CarPlay functions properly. It is the buyer’s responsibility to buy one. You can always buy one after CarPlay activation, as the WiFi antenna is plug-and-play.

Apple CarPlay is compatible with Apple iPhones only. Not for Android or other devices. No Refunds if you ordered by mistake.

Please note. No returns or refunds because the Files/Codes are tied to your car’s VIN number.

Please allow up to 24 hours for your file/code to be made and sent to you. It is usually a lot less.

Warranty Safe

Our activation is completely Warranty Safe!

If you get CarPlay coded using USB Coding, we will send you an extra file that you can use to Disable CarPlay and restore your iDrive to OEM settings.

Similarly, if you get it coded using the Cable method (DIY or remotely), we provide you with the code to easily disable or enable CarPlay and restore to OEM settings. Takes less than 5/10 minutes.

Once you have disabled CarPlay, BMW dealerships should no longer detect it, and this will not affect your warranty.
After the car has been returned from the dealer, you can easily enable CarPlay using the same method.

*Please note: You MUST disable CarPlay before sending the car to the dealership; otherwise, the warranty may be impacted.

Remote Activation

We can offer BMW Apple CarPlay Re-Activation for you remotely if the USB solution won’t work for you. We offer remote activation of CarPlay no matter where you are in the world. All you require is a Windows Laptop, ENET/OBD Cable and Internet connection. We can help you setup everything. After that, you will need to book a slot in for remote activation.

Requirements

Windows Laptop – Has to be decent / Nothing from the 90s please
ENET/OBD Cable – We can send one at extra cost, if required
Strong WiFi/Internet Connection – This ensures that our connection to your car and laptop is stable
Remote Connection Software – We will send you all download links and help you set up
