MIB2 USB Port & Wiring Loom is required on some 2015/16 models for Apple Carplay to function. Without upgrading the USB port, you can only access Android Auto. The port looks the same however the internal components are different and give extra functionality in order to run Apple Carplay & Android Auto.

You will need the wiring loom when upgrading from MIB1 to MIB2 headunits on your VW or SEAT. The older MIB1 system typically comes with a MEDIA IN port, which is not compatible with Carplay/Android Auto, that requires USB port. You can retrofit the wiring loom to your headunit and install the USB port to gain full functionality.

We can activate VW AppConnect, SEAT Full Link and SKODA Smartlink for a fraction of dealer price. Dealers will charge you £250+ simply for the activation and keep the car for full day causing inconvenience to you.

How can this be done on your car?

Posted: We will post you the USB port and/or wiring loom to you. You can install it in your car and code the USB port to your headunit.

Collection in Bradford: You can drive down to our workshop in Bradford and collect the USB port and/or wiring loom.

Installation in Bradford: We can supply and fit the USB port/wiring loom to your car. Fitting might be additional, please contact us to confirm.

Compatibility

MIB2 Headunit required. Not for MIB1 headunits
This does NOT enable/activate Apple Carplay.
USB Port will require coding in to your headunit if you had older USB port.
For VW, SEAT and SKODA cars.
