VW Golf MK7 AppConnect Activation
Activate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in your VW Golf MK7 AppConnect that has MIB2 headunit to enjoy a safer driving experience. Apple Carplay and Android Auto is capable of showing useful apps like Waze, Google Maps, Spotify, Apple Music and much more. Siri is also integrated within Carplay, to provide a more enhanced hands free experience.
Using our smart activation solution, we can easily activate this AppConnect in your VW if you have a MIB2 stereo/headunit in your car. MIB2 MMI headunits were installed in 2015+ cars. This is just a software activation and no hardware changes are made.
On some headunits we are able to activate Voice Control and Performance Monitors too. This might be included in the price or be extra depending on your headunit.
The activation will need to take place in Bradford. You will need to bring your car to us. The activation process takes 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on if your headunit requires an update or not.

What Is Apple CarPlay/Android Auto?
A safer way to use your mobile phone while travelling in your car. Apple CarPlay & Android Auto allow you to seamlessly integrate your mobile phone with your car’s head unit. You are able to use apps such as Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, Apple Music and many more supported apps. It even allows you to integrate calls, text and music. On Audi, you have to connect your phone via cable and it will start Carplay/Android Auto.

Activation will take place in Bradford (UK) and you will need to bring the car to us. We don’t travel out to customers and currently don’t offer remote activation of this.

Yes. Simple as that. If VW update your headunit, they will deactivate AppConnect and might void your warranty for the headunit.
Q6. What is the price activating AppConnect?
You are looking at around £100 – £150 depending on the headunit and software version installed in your car. Please get in touch to confirm.
